First Michael Vick, Now Michelle Obama?

Apparently, PETA has no shame when it comes to self-promotion at the expense of others.
The self-righteous animal protection group pulls no punches when it comes to co-opting private citizens for its aims.
Without permission, PETA is using a photo-shopped image of First Lady Michelle Obama in one of its latest anti-fur campaigns.
Now that NFL QB Michael Vick has managed to begin resurrecting his football career after a conviction for dog-fighting, PETA is indignantly expressing its right to trick people into thinking that Mrs. Obama supports its mission by placing a photo of her alongside Carrie Underwood, Oprah Winfrey and Tyra Banks. The fervent protest group claims it's all okay because the Washington Times printed a quote by the First Lady in 2009 stating that she does not wear fur.
From the perspective of this keeper of two rescue mutts, PETA's grasps for attention grow continually laughable and off-putting.
So, to lighten the mood, let me re-share this YouTube clip I found to be hilarious at the peak of the Vick controversy that he seems to be living down...

While the group Peta is not one of my favorites it's hard to understand The First Vick now Mrs. Obama headline Scott!
I agree that Mrs. Obama doest not deserve to be critized, but Vick?
Yes he served his time & everyone
has a right to start fresh but what he did to countless animals was Horrific!
Stop making light on people who hurt animals, compassion is what we humans should feel for everyone.

Wow. Pardon the pun, but coming from you that comment has teeth.
Not making light of cruelty. Just observing how absurd PETA's tactics are. It's not right to take advantage of a lady who's been nothing but gracious under the most extreme circumstances just because she's famous.

The PETA commandos at my alma mater Auburn Univ. were so hardcore that that they did not wear any leather. This made footwear selection tricky for them because it was prior to the resurgence of Chuck Taylors. Trying to find non-leather shoes in the late '80s was TOUGH! This move by PETA exposes their hypocrisy and desperation, however, because we all know that Kim, Oprah, Michelle and Tyra all wear leather and I doubt that all four are vegans.

Geo,
You crack me up.
Not to get all practical about it, but the beauty of leather is that it not only protects but it breathes.
Toe Jam musta spread like wildfire back then in War Eagle territory?
ps: whatever happened to Reggie Slack? He was Vick before Vick on the field!
