The music world today mourns the passing of Teddy Pendergrass, who has reportedly succumbed to a lengthy bout with cancer.As far as we're concerned, Pendergrass was unmatched in terms of stage presence and his soaring vocals. During the late 1970s especially, his public personna defined "swagger" before it was misguidedly co-opted as the current catch phrase for masculinity.
He'll be sorely missed, but we'll always have his music to relish and reflect on...
